Gerald Ferreira

Gerald and Liezl Ferreira stepped into the role of Global Senior Leaders for Friend of God Church in March 2002. Friend of God Church is a multi-campus church that is established in nine countries worldwide. As a visionary leader, Gerald passionately guides and inspires those around him, firmly believing that everyone has value and potential. Gerald is a great leader who truly loves people, always adds value to others, and finds joy in pushing others forward.

His prayer is that everyone would experience God's grace and the kindness that comes from it. As a communicator, skilled at applying biblical wisdom in practical ways, Gerald always aims to create environments where people can grow in their faith and encounter God's love. As a leader, Gerald constantly seeks new ways and explores new avenues to grow and improve, both personally and as a church. His unwavering determination to see God's promises fulfilled for the church drives all his actions and decisions.

Gerald desires to build a life-giving church in 16 countries around the world that will spread the message of Jesus globally.

Liezl Ferreira

Liezl has a deep understanding of the challenges that women face in their daily lives as wives, mothers, and leaders. She finds strength, courage, and inspiration in her faith in Jesus, and she is passionate about motivating other women to do the same.

Liezl strongly believes in the innate value and worth of every individual, and she embraces and celebrates the unique qualities that make each person special. She is a reliable source of support and encouragement for those around her, providing a strong foundation for them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Her calming presence brings a sense of security and reassurance, inspiring confidence and positivity in everyone she interacts with.

Liezl has a strong desire to witness people achieving their full potential and finding true happiness. When she is not tending to her family or contributing to the leadership of Friend of God Church, she dedicates her time to exercising and preparing Bible Studies for women.

Gerrie Coetzee

Gerrie has been involved in full-time ministry since 2002 and has been a part of the team at Friend of God Church since January 2013. He is passionate about promoting wholeness, well-being, growth, and development in all areas of Church life, as well as in his own life. Gerrie's prayer for every person is that they come to know Jesus and make Him known.

A major part of Gerrie's ministry is focused on seeing families restored and healthy. He is committed to encouraging men to take up their responsibilities as leaders of their households. Gerrie desires to live a life that is deeply connected to the Word of God, inspiring others to do the same.

Gerrie is married to Monica, and they have two children. Additionally, they are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren.

Monica Coetzee

Monica has been serving in full-time ministry since 2002 and joined the team at Friend of God Church in January 2013. She is passionate about helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus and with others. Her life exemplifies the idea of being `better together`.

Monica's prayer for everyone is that they live their life to the fullest and reach their full potential. A significant part of Monica's ministry is her dedication to giving value to women so that they can thrive and move forward in life. Monica desires to see God's promises and purpose come to fulfillment in her life.

Monica is happily married to Gerrie, and together they have two children. They also have four grandchildren.

Japie du Bruyn

Japie and Natasha have been leading the Friend of God Malmesbury Campus since October 2018. Japie is passionate about being a part of the local Church, believing that it is still God's plan-A to spread the Good News of Jesus and to function as a place of restoration to those in need. He desires to see people far from Jesus stepping into a relationship with Him and live the life God has planned for them.

Japie is an athlete, business leader, and Pastor who is committed to serving the people of his community and inspiring them to reach their full potential. He is dedicated to promoting unity amongst Christian Churches in their town and to see that the Church of Malmesbury would function together to serve their community better.

Japie and Natasha have four children named Japie Jnr., Talita, Isabel, and Franz.

Natasha du Bruyn

Natasha and Japie have been leading the Friend of God Malmesbury Campus since October 2018. While every aspect of ministry is close to Natasha's heart, she is most passionate about helping children and those in need. Her prayer for every person is to know Jesus and to live the life He has for them.

Natasha is committed to the call of God on her life and to building a Church that would be a positive influence in cities and nations. She desires to keep working on herself so that she can use her God-given abilities to continue helping and inspiring others to reach their full potential.

Natasha and Japie are proud parents of four children: Japie Jnr., Talita, Isabel, and Franz.

Timothy Malatji

Timothy Malatji, also known as Pastor Tim, along with his wife Maite, are the campus leaders of Selwane and Prisca campuses. Tim started his journey as a campus leader in 2016 and is currently based at the Selwane Campus. He oversees the Church plants in Selwane and Prisca. The Phalaborwa campus is a multicultural campus that consists of members from Venda, North-West Province, Mphumalanga, and Phalaborwa.

Tim is not only an excellent communicator of God's Word and a great leader but also a talented musician with a desire to see the local Church thrive. His prayer is for the people of his community to come to know Jesus and establish a relationship with Him. Tim is passionate about serving the community and continually seeks opportunities to be more involved in the community God has placed him in. He also serves as the chairperson of the fraternal in Phalaborwa and the communal property association.

N.L. Paul

Pastor N.L. Paul is the campus leader of the Eluru and Vegavaram campuses in India. He is married to Sara and they have two sons who are passionate about serving Jesus. He has been in full-time ministry since 1998 and began serving as a campus leader in 2016. Paul is devoted to building a healthy church that effectively serves the communities they are involved in and has a great passion for the nation of India.

Paul is a strong visionary leader and a passionate communicator of the Good News found in Jesus Christ. He enjoys connecting with people and seeing their lives transformed and made fruitful by the grace and love of Jesus.

Roy Machona

Pastor Roy Machona is the campus leader for the Lusaka Campus of Friend of God Church. He is married to Violet and they have four children: Prispeteris, Kutela, Geshom, and Amos. Roy has been in ministry since 1996 and joined Friend of God Church in November 2017. He and his team oversee ten Friend of God Campuses in Zambia, namely Lusaka, Kasama, Kaloko, Mwange, Nkwazi, Kansenshi, Kawama, Solwezi, Kamfinsa-Kitwe and Lumato-Kalulushi.

Roy is a gifted leader and communicator of God's Word, skilled in applying Biblical wisdom in practical ways. He is passionate about Zambia and believes that every person has a unique, God-given purpose. Roy encourages believers to step into their God-given purpose and positively impact their spheres of influence in a great and lasting way.

Bywell Thole

Pastor Bywell Thole is the campus leader of Friend of God Chainama Campus. He has been involved in ministry since 2005 and started serving with Friend of God Church in March 2017. Bywell is married to Astridah and they have four children: Sarah, Bertha, Febby, and Enoch.

Bywell is passionate about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with his community, and his prayer is that everyone will come to know God personally. When he was 10 years old, Bywell lost his ability to hear due to an illness. But after he became a Christian, he felt called to full-time ministry and became the first ordained pastor in Zambia who could effectively communicate with the hearing-impaired community. Friend of God Chainama Campus, which was established specifically for the deaf community, was the first campus of its kind in Zambia.

According to Bywell, success is knowing and following God's plan for your life. He prays that the people of Zambia will come to know God and live the fulfilling life that He has in store for them.

Wondemagegn Gezahegn

Pastor Wondemagegn Gezahegn leads the Friend of God Arba Minch campus in Ethiopia. Known affectionately as Wondye, he and his wife Martha are dedicated to serving their community. Arba Minch, situated 400km from Addis Ababa, is where they have been called to serve.

Arba Minch, much like many parts of Ethiopia, is primarily a Muslim community. Wondye's mission is to empower believers with biblical teachings, enabling them to spread the message of God's love. He aspires to establish a vibrant church that serves as a source of hope for people from all walks of life, fostering a loving community and culture centered around Jesus.

Jean Baptiste Kapuku Nkulu

Pastor Jean Baptiste leads the Friend of God Kinshasa campus in the Democratic Republic of Congo. With a journey in full-time ministry since 1992, Jean Baptiste assumed his role as campus leader in November 2019. He is happily married to Patricia Masengu, and they are blessed with three children.

Jean harbors a deep passion not only for the salvation of the lost but also for equipping individuals in various aspects of life. Through their ministry, they provide training in IT and computer literacy, empower girls with sewing skills for clothing making, and facilitate literacy programs for reading and writing. Additionally, Jean and his team dedicate themselves to preparing primary and secondary students for state examinations, utilizing these opportunities to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, Jean and his team oversee two satellite campuses, where they hold weekly services, extending their outreach and impact.

Sergey Bykov

Pastor Sergey serves as the campus leader of Friend of God Karkov campus in Ukraine. He harbors a deep passion for his nation and tirelessly explores avenues through which they can contribute to its well-being, even amidst the current turmoil of war.

Reflecting on the scriptural account of the nation of Israel tasked with rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem while armed for defense (Nehemiah 4:17), we draw parallels to the spiritual responsibility believers in Ukraine face in this season. Just as the Israelites worked with one hand while wielding a weapon with the other, we perceive a similar call for spiritual vigilance and action in Ukraine. We hold firm in our trust that this challenging season will catalyze the growth and resilience of the church in Ukraine, fostering a renewed spirit of faith and perseverance.

Marcus Peter

Pastor Marcus serves as the campus leader at the Friend of God Lahore campus. He is married to Nadia, and together they have three children: Raymond, Razus, and Alexis. With a commitment to full-time ministry since 1998, Pastor Marcus assumed his role as the campus leader at Friend of God Church in Pakistan in October 2018.

Marcus and Nadia are deeply involved in serving the Christian community situated on the outskirts of Lahore, where believers are concentrated in one densely populated area. Marcus's passion lies in cultivating a vibrant local church that extends its reach to those who have yet to encounter Jesus. Known for his visionary leadership and dynamic communication of God's word, Marcus is continuously exploring innovative methods to connect with people. His prayer is to witness the emergence of a vibrant church in Pakistan that fulfills God's intended purpose. As a dedicated church leader, Marcus is committed to serving others and equipping them for their divine callings.

Nikhil Sorkar

Pastor Nikhil Sorkar serves as the campus leader of the Friend of God Dhaka campus in Bangladesh. He is happily married to Champa Rani Singh, and together they are blessed with one son, Nikom Chayar. Nikhil embarked on his full-time ministry journey in 1996 and assumed his role as campus leader in Bangladesh in 2019.

Nikhil's dedication as a church leader is centered on reaching unreached communities in Bangladesh. His primary focus is on equipping local leaders and extending care to orphans and the needy in both urban and rural areas of their community. Additionally, Nikhil and Champa actively engage in providing assistance to those affected by various crises such as cyclones, floods, and famine. They also offer support to believers facing persecution, aiding them in becoming self-sufficient amidst multiple challenges.
